A
set of interactive java applets to simulate groundwater flow
and pollutant transport in simple one- and two-dimensional
systems have been developed by Professors A.J. Valocchi and
C.J. Werth at The Department of Civil & Environmental
Engineering, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. These
interactive models are effective teaching tools. The applets
include tutorials containing background theory and model usage.
If one takes the time to explore the various examples, you
will discover the look and feel of typical groundwater modeling
frameworks. The models are meant to be illustrative as opposed
to comprehensive.
