Mission
Tri-S specializes in water resources engineering, which it recognizes
as a key to maintaining our livelihood as a nation. The emphasis
is on protection and restoration of the environment so that
our precious water resources are maintained in the end.
Petroleum refinery
contamination is a worldwide problem, which few engineering
firms have solved. At Tri-S, we act as a third-party between
the property owner and regulatory agencies by implementing an
overall project approach that emphasizes sensibility and minimizes
risk in context of the practical limitations of remediation
technology. A risk assessment analysis is conducted, which takes
into account the migration of pollutants and potential exposure
to population groups. A compromise is reached between the two
extremes of removing every organic molecule from the soil and
and leaving the problem unaddressed. A well defined strategy
is developed and is clearly communicated to all parties.
 Chlorinated
solvents at manufacturing facilities are another worldwide problem
for which there is no magic bullet. Chemicals travel deep in
the earth and are not fully recoverable with any technology.
As in the case of other environmental pollutants such as herbicides,
pesticides, radionuclides and biological toxins, the solution
is always compromise through a negotiation process.
